How You'll Contribute
- Provide comprehensive veterinary care, including examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and surgeries for rescued dogs.
- Collaborate with the DogPaws team to develop and implement individualized care plans for each dog.
- Monitor the health and well-being of dogs in our care, ensuring timely medical interventions when necessary.
- Educate and advise adoptive pet owners on responsible pet care and ongoing health maintenance.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all dogs under your care.
- Participate in community outreach and educational programs to promote animal welfare and responsible pet ownership.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid veterinary license to practice in the state of Florida.
- Proven experience in veterinary care, preferably with a focus on small animals or shelter medicine.
- Strong diagnostic and surgical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to animal care.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
